The Pet Economy Boom

Infographic „The Pet Economy Boom

The pet boom is no coincidence, but rather the result of a wide variety of social developments:

  • For the majority of millennials, money is no object when it comes to their pet's health.1
  • Older people with grown-up children spend the highest amount on their pets.2
  • With China’s ongoing economic development and greater disposable income, the country’s middle class has joined the pet lovers of the world.3
  • Also, our animal companions are no longer limited to living outside. They move around the living area, sleep in their owner’s beds and are generally regarded as part of the family.4

The sum of these trends is reflected in the new pet economy, which can offer opportunities for investors.5
